Spanish Tortilla

This classic dish is enjoyed all over the world. Here we showcase our own version which is by any means not an authentic recipe. We use ingredients readily available  from the fridge. Add or take whatever you like! Well except the eggs and the potatoes that is!

Ingredients

  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 6 eggs
  • 50 g butter

Please note everything else is optional! We used:

  • 1 courgette
  • 1 onion chopped
  • Gyulai, Hungarian cured sausage  
  • Mushrooms
  • Parsley
  • Paprika (we used Hungarian of course )
  • Cheese

    Method

    • Cut, chop, dice all ingredients,
    • Heat the butter in a deep frying pan,
    • Add the vegetables and fry for 3-5 minutes,
    • Add sausage if using and fry for another 1 minute,
    • Add the sliced potatoes,
    • In a bowl whisk the eggs and season with the paprika. Add salt and pepper if you like,
    • Sprinkle it with the cheese and the parsley,
    • Bake it in the oven (180 C) for about 30 minutes. Until the potatoes cooked through,
    • Enjoy!
